For your conveniance and time management the organizing committee suggests to book the hotel for accommodation.
In addition, please consider that the Berlin Marathon follows the Symposium and the city will be crowded!

BMW Marathon on 21.09.2025
The famous Berlin Marathon will also take place in 2025 – sponsored by BMW.
We would like to inform our guests that the Berlin Marathon will take place on 21 September (Sunday).
In this context, parts of the city centre will be closed on Saturday, 20 September 2025 and even more so on Sunday, 21 September 2025.
This also applies to public transport, which is restricted during the Berlin Marathon.

Travel Information
The Estrel Berlin’s convenient location and ideal transportation connections mean that we are easy to reach both by car and when using public transport. Highway access is only 1.5 kilometres away, and the distance to the Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is13km. The Sonnenallee S-Bahn commuter train station can be reached on foot in only three minutes, and a bus stop and taxi rank are located right in front of the hotel.

Welcome to Berlin – we are looking forward to welcoming you at the EWOG Symposium 2025 in Berlin. To ensure that you can reach us without delay, we have compiled the information on public transport for you. Registration to the Symposium will not cover free public transportation.
Please note that when travelling from the Berlin-Brandenburg Airport BER via public transport, you will require an ABC zone ticket.
From the main station to the hotel and from the hotel to the city a public transport ticket zone A is sufficant. We recommend a 24h ticket.

VBB Apps
A good overview of which stations (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, etc.) you can get from A to B in the VBB app.

Tariff zones
The Berlin tariff areas are divided into sub-areas A, B and C.
Tariff zone Berlin A:
Berlin’s inner city up to and including the S-Bahn (urban rail) ring.
Tariff zone Berlin B:
Outside the S-Bahn (urban rail) ring, up to the city boundary.
Tariff zone Berlin C:
Greater Berlin area (approx. 15 km around the city of Berlin), including the city of Potsdam. Subarea C also belongs to the counties surrounding the city.
Depending on from where to where you wan tto travel, you can buy tickets for the combined subareas AB, BC or the entire ABC network. If you are only traveling within the city limits of Berlin, you are on the right track with an AB ticket.
